HTC and Facebook jointly rolled out a new Smartphone, dubbed HTC First, to tap the fast-growing market of social networking on mobile devices, according to a news report by Taiwan's Central News Agency on 5 April. HTC First is pre-installed with Facebook Home, a newly-developed application that enables users to see Facebook Cover Feed when switching on their Smartphones, and check friends' photos, status updates, and notifications on the home screens. In addition to HTC, Facebook Home will also be available for downloads on Samsung Smartphones running Google's Android operating system starting from April 12. Other branded vendors such as Lenovo, ZTE, Huawei, and Sony are anticipated to follow suit and launch Facebook Home-embedded models, according to the same source.
